I'm a woman (she/her) just over 69, married, no kids or grand-kids. I live in a smallish town, in a small house, in Southern California with my husband and cats, and more books and yarn than I have room for. I love nature, knitting, reading, journal keeping, and watching the sky, trees, and birds. I'm an INFP (Meyers-Briggs), and very introverted. I value my alone, quiet time and I'm a homebody since my early semi-retirement. I'm a Libra with Scorpio rising, several planets in Virgo, and Moon in Taurus. I was a technical writer and editor for many years, and in my free time wrote fiction, though none was published by anyone but me. I still write, but my ambitions in that regard have toned down, and now I mainly write for my pleasure and to self-publish now and then. I've kept personal journals and dream journals nearly all my adult life, and kept blogs from time to time.
I'm interested in Jungian psychology, mainly as a way of figuring myself out. I'm also a student of A Course In Miracles (ACIM).
I love to knit, though I'm not that productive a knitter. I'm more a process than product knitter. I'm trying to bump up my knitting as a central part of my life, because I find it so relaxing and engaging when the world seems crazy. I love color, so with knitting and many other interests, the colors are a big part of my enjoyment of it.
Some other interests are astrology, Tarot (and lately Lenormand), painting, poetry, a little cooking, and a little sewing. Books are a big part of my life too.

SOME FAVORITE QUOTES
"The breeze at dawn has secrets to tell you
Don’t go back to sleep.
You must ask for what you really want
Don’t go back to sleep.
People are going back and forth across the
doorsill where two worlds touch
The door is round and open
Don’t go back to sleep."
~Jelaluddin Rumi, 13th Century
"The absolute hangs like the moon above the water, and the water is my very own soul. Winds of desire stir my soul and my vision of the absolute. My reflection of the moon, my notion of eternity is in splinters, but I desire only to see the truth, to reflect the moon, and the winds die slowly ..." (Joseph Campbell, letter to artist Angela Gregory, 1929, cited in "A Fire in the Mind"))
"My religion is very simple. My religion is kindness."
--Dalai Lama
“The only tyrant I accept in this world is the still voice within.”
--Mahatma Gandhi
"The worst thing that can happen to a human being is to stop imagining things."
-- Stephan Hoeller
“Your task is not to seek for love, but merely to seek and find all the barriers within yourself that you have built against it.” -- A Course In Miracles
